Terms of Service

1. Scope

These Terms of Service apply to the use of the messenger “Schnack” (app and server service), provided by Robware, Hauptstraße 58c, 21640 Bliedersdorf.

2. Description of service

Schnack is an end-to-end encrypted messenger for exchanging messages, media and files. Using the app is free. The server is open source and can optionally be self-hosted.

3. Registration and account

An account is required to use the service. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and undertake to provide accurate information when registering.

4. Acceptable use

The service may not be used for unlawful purposes, to distribute unlawful content, for spam, or to disrupt operations. Users alone are responsible for the content exchanged via Schnack.

5. Availability

We strive for reliable operation but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, faults or further development may lead to temporary limitations.

6. Liability

Use takes place within the framework of statutory provisions. Liability for slight negligence is excluded, unless material contractual obligations are affected and to the extent permitted by law.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts in the event of violations of these terms.

8. Changes

These Terms of Service may be amended. We will notify you of material changes in an appropriate manner.

9. Applicable law

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies.
